For those of you who are a fan of my writing (as it is XD), you have probably been waiting a little while for this.

I'll just get this out of the way right now: this is NOT part of the Second Story. This could almost be considered a "vent story". =P

It is a short story that reflects fairly recent developments in the real world that will play a minor part in the future stories. (mainly due to its lasting environmental implications)

I am referring of course to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

This spill is without a doubt one of the worst environmental disasters in history, and there is no doubt that the effects of it will still be felt decades from now. If it is not contained soon, it has the potential to severely damage if not destroy the many ecosystems in the Gulf and the Caribbean, not excluding the beautiful reefs off the coast of the Florida Keys.

In my opinion, if the reefs are destroyed, it would be a completely insurmountable loss.

Between you and me, in the past few months, I have on more than one occasion, felt ashamed to call myself a human being.

If BP goes under in the end because of this, well I'll be just fine with that!

I decided to write a short story that illustrated how I feel how this would affect my characters in my story series. In this story, you'll be introduced to a few of the characters that will be major players in the new story.

Now this might be a little rusty, but I am content with how this turned out.

I also have a digital work that goes with this. I'll be posting it tomorrow.

I hope you like this.

cool. I absolutely love it. You have a good eye for art. Unfortunately, My dad is working for A petroleum plant, and half of the gas stations he ships gas too are BPs. But the thing is, if everyone stops going to buy gas at BP, then how are they going to get the money to reimburse all of the money that they owe to the people? Believe me, i stand against the oil spill as much as you, but as of now, there isn't much that we can do about it. I still love the concept though, and WHERE IS YOUR STORY?!?!?!
